Here at Naim Audio there is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team delivering an effective and efficient Finance service to our business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

In summary you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Financial Reporting - Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely production of the monthly profit & loss accounts and Balance sheets, Cash-flow, KPIs and supporting schedules for NAIM Audio and Focal UK, in line with Group requirements.
  • Co-ordinate and run the review of financial results against business activity levels to ensure that all significant costs are captured and accrued for in a timely manner.
  • Compare actual results against forecast, budget, and prior year results and provide the monthly management commentary.
  • Work closely with commercial and operational management to ensure effective financial controls & risk mitigation in processes throughout the businesses that have a financial impact as well as timely resolution.
  • Lead annual budget and forecast processes per Group timetable.
  • Produce and improve cash forecasts for the business, monitoring performance against bank covenants.
  • Preparation of VAT, and Intrastat returns.
  • Monitor business controls and propose improvements where necessary.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Credit Controller including monitoring time and attendance
  • Staff motivation and assist with annual performance reviews including recommendations on salaries.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis within a manufacturing environment and having a proven record of demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and technical skills.
  • Practical experience of Payroll, Intrastat and VAT returns
  • Must have excellent Excel skills and be used to working with an ERP preferably EFACS, or Infor LN or an equivalent.
  • French language would be a unique advantage.
  • Result oriented and with strong business sense and able to communicate at all levels as well as challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Passionate and eclectic music lover – desirable but not essential!

Qualification / Experience

  • Must hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with 5+ years PQE
