PR & Communications Manager

You are required to work 37.5 hours a week.

A flexible approach is essential as you may be required to work outside of normal hours to achieve organisational goals. Occasional travel will also be necessary.

Purpose of Role/Key Objectives

We are looking for a talented and experienced PR & Communications Manager to lead our brand and consumer PR globally. We always have a busy launch and campaign schedule, so you will need to hit the ground running and show a real passion for Naim.

Your responsibilities will be to inspire and lead our PR resources to deliver communication initiatives that will positively impact the category/product performance (both NPD launch or ‘in-market’ product) for Naim and Focal (UK).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and coordination to galvanise people (internal and external agencies) behind the project and drive through immaculate execution
  • To identify and secure profile opportunities for the brand, products and the key people
  • To build key relationships with key journalists in the US and UK and our global agencies
  • Own the internal comms strategy
  • To respond to media enquiries
  • Manage our social media channels
  • Maintain our online press library
  • Ensure all project milestones are communicated internally and externally as needed; keep abreast of progress, and motivate and influence them to take corrective measures as required
  • Foster strong collaborative working relationships across all agencies and distributor teams to build a more visible and dynamic PR world around our core products
  • Recommend and promote new methods to continually push our brands forward, increasing brand awareness globally, achieving coverage of Naim (and Focal in the UK) across all media
  • Work cross-functionally as part of wider comms team to ensure campaigns are integrated across multi-media, including social media and PR opportunities
  • Author media materials including communications plans, media statements, press releases and Q&A as required ensuring all comms reflects Naim Tone, our point of difference and relevance to our customers
  • To always act as an ambassador for the department and brands both internally and externally.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for someone with proven experience of delivering excellent results in PR and communications roles, ideally in the men’s fashion, tech, sport or luxury sectors. You will have:

  • A strong track record of securing high quality media coverage
  • Excellent media contacts across one or more of the following sectors: men’s style/fashion, men’s health/fitness, luxury, tech – preferably among US-based media as well as in the UK
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including a flair for communicating over social media
  • Sound strategic sense paired with an ability to spot opportunities
  • Strong critical analysis and decision-making skills
  • A positive, solution-focused attitude and the flexibility to respond to the changing needs of a high-growth business
  • A keen interest in music.

Qualification / Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in PR in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a premium brand, either in Marketing, Brand or Product focused with a strong communications background
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; concentration in business or related field preferred
  • Experience of managing PR agencies
  • Experience being an active and high performing member of a team.
