ERP & IT Manager

Purpose of Role/Key Objectives

Group IT is managed to develop synergies between local teams.

The job holder is primarily responsible for implementing and managing IT and BI systems in coordination with Group IT strategy for Naim Audio and for the smooth operation the IT/BI function, providing a support service for all internal departments.  

The role currently carries direct responsibility for four members of IT/BI staff and is a key position in the Group IT organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Personal Operational Responsibilities:

  • Is personally in charge of Improving and maintaining ERP processes within the department.

IT Responsibilities:

  • Administer IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage Devices, Network Infrastructure, Virtual Environment, Telephony, Security…)
  • Maintain security across all IT Systems.
  • Apply and implement the Group IT Business Continuity process.
  • Apply t and maintain data backup Group process.
  • Ensure the maintenance of IT documentation.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance (DPA, GDPR etc.) in coordination with Group IT.
  • Diagnose incidents and implement corrective measures.
  • Research latest technology and plan upgrades to improve performance, efficiency and security.
  • Optimise the existing process to improve functionality of services and ensure capacity for future requirements.

Business Applications Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective delivery of business applications.
  • Plan and test upgrades with Business Application Administrator.
  • Ensure security of Business Applications are maintained and audited.
  • Is personally in charge of Improving and maintaining  centre of knowledge for ERP processes within the department.

BI Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain company’s BI tools.
  • Facilitate BI Community meeting of key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Naim & Group BI Officers to deliver complex BI Reports and Projects.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Resource management.
  • Carrying out regular 1-2-1’s reviews.
  • Staff motivation.
  • Identifying training needs and recommending/agreeing personal development routes.
  • Monitoring Time and Attendance.
  • Providing recommendation on salaries.
  • Recruitment of new staff with support from HR.
  • Budgetary responsibility for departmental and company IT Budget.
  • Propose budget in coordination with Group IT for management of all infrastructure and services.
  • Manage spend throughout year in line with budget.
  • Work with external service providers, negotiate service contracts and procurement of equipment.
  • Development and communication of Group IT policies and best practices.
  • Develop strategic liaison with other departmental heads, communicating where latest technologies could be used to improve performance.
  • As being part of Group IT Team, skills for teamwork in an international environment.

General responsibilities as a manager.

All employees have a responsibility for quality and must check the quality of the work they perform.

Skills & Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems for workstations & Servers.

Demonstrable expertise in:

  • Network Administration.
  • IT Hardware Configuration (Network Infrastructure, Storage Devices).
  • VoIP.
  • Virtual Environment Administration.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
  • Network Protocols, Methodologies.
  • Network Security.
  • SQL Database Management.
  • Language Development (VB, PHP, Shell Script).
  • Experience of working within an ITIL framework.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Generating new ideas and driving their implementation.
  • Conversancy with GDPR and legislation.
  • Supportive of others – Ability to support and motivate team members.

Qualification / Experience

  • ITIL qualification is desirable.
  • Educated to Degree level in relevant IT field.
  • Operational.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise to complete support and project tasks within time constraints.
  • Work well under pressure.

Hours of work:

You are required to work 37.5 hours a week.

A flexible approach is essential as the role sometimes requires working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice to achieve organisational goals.

Some travel may also be necessary.
