Focal Sales Support Manager

Purpose of Role/Key Objectives

At Focal we are obsessed with creating sound equipment that honours the artist’s musical creation and empowers the listener to feel a new dimension of the music.

Based in St. Étienne, France for almost 40 years, Focal’s history has been based on offering the most outstanding musical experience to music lovers and ultimate immersion to audio enthusiasts. Focal has been creating benchmark acoustic equipment since 1979 for various high fidelity markets such as home audio loudspeakers, headphones, car speaker drivers and monitoring loudspeakers.

Focal are seeking to strengthen its UK team with individual who is highly energised and equally audio-obsessed. An ideal candidate would possess good knowledge of both the high-end audio market and technical aspects of HiFi and theatre systems whilst engaging with energy and enthusiasm with customers at all levels.

Working closely across all departments and alongside the Naim team, this new member of the Focal team would support the ambitious business goals to grow the Focal brand presence in the UK market and show the flexibility to adapt in this very dynamic role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing technical assistance to our customers
  • Liaising closely with Customer Service and Fields Sales teams to provide industry-leading service
  • Installation and demonstration of Audio products with Retailers and Distributors
  • Planning, delivering and achieving targets for new product launches into the market.
  • Planning, managing and participating in Dealer/Consumer events
  • Planning and executing Internal & External Training
  • Engaging with technical, service and warranty to satisfy customer demands
  • Support Focal sales initiatives directly with dealers
  • Merchandising & Display Implementation
  • Provide regular reporting and feedback on activity and marketplace
  • Attending customer-own and national exhibition events for demonstration and set-up.

Skills & Requirements

  • Possess an in depth knowledge of the hi-fi/audio industry and have an awareness of the impact of ‘new technologies’ in the market place. 
  • Excellent organisational, administration & time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • An enthusiastic, persuasive personality is required along with proven strong motivation skills.
  • Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft office and networks.
  • Full clean driving licence and possession of a passport are essential.
  • Must be a passionate music lover.

 

Qualification / Experience

  • Good standard of education.
  • Experience of independent audio retailers.
  • Experience of Business Development.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales through established relationships.
