Supplier Quality Engineer

Purpose of Role/Key Objectives

What you’ll do:

You will play a pivotal support role to the QEHS Manager to facilitate the delivery of all aspects of the Supplier Quality Assurance function.  Working collaboratively with suppliers to develop and implement best practices in order to emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variations and waste and provide for CIP to meet all product requirements.

You will also be responsible for collecting root cause analysis in order to provide corrective feedback and ensure that all products meet quality standards to maximise the customer experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

In order to achieve this there is obviously a need to work cross functionally as part of a wider delivery team in order to monitor supplier performance, define process parameters and criteria to ensure effective supplier process capability.

Need to be prepared to travel regularly within the UK and also OUK (for example China) in order to validate process capabilities and complete pre shipment sign off for production runs.

Develop SPC methodology to ensure process capability across Naim and key suppliers.

Complete supplier and performance audits to enhance process standardisation and eliminate waste elimination, resolving non-conformance issues and follow-up actions in order to work with the supplier to create correction action plans and ultimately to validate the corrective actions taken.

Work as part of the project teams responsible for product launches to ensure compliance with established standards and to secure the high level of craftsmanship expected of our products.

Skills & Requirements

With at least five years’ experience of working in a similar role you should be Lean Sigma or Green Belt as well as audit trained; an Engineering degree in a manufacturing discipline would be an advantage.  You should also have knowledge of quality management systems as well as metrology, inspection methods and equipment as well as measurement techniques.

Time spent previously in an equally diverse and dynamic environment with the ability to plan and prioritise as well as present data effectively would also be of benefit as would good analytical and problem solving skills.

As this is a key outward facing role within our business it goes without saying that the successful candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as a good eye to detail in order to convey the strong Group ethos.

You are a true team player who enjoys a challenge whilst calmly contributing and exchanging ideas with other teams in the wider Vervent Group and conveying the strong Group ethos.

Bien qu'une compréhension raisonnable de la langue française ne soit pas une condition préalable, avec une société mèreçaise, fran ce serait certainement un avantage.
