Test Engineer

Purpose of Role/Key Objectives

It began with one man’s passion for music.

Believe that the exploration of sound is an adventure? Want to join a world leader in the audio field and work alongside some genuinely talented people?

Naim Audio is a highly respected global brand that is both innovative and creative, continually receiving industry awards and consistent 5-star reviews for our ability to produce technically brilliant and stylish audio pieces. #NaimAudio #FocalpoweredbyNaim

By managing the relationship between our four pillars of engineering we enable our listeners to hear every single note in equal measure and transcend from audio sound to musical performance.  We call this unique and emotive transmission the ‘Voice of Naim’; it’s our signature, our calling card.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Here at Naim Audio we have an exciting opportunity for a music-loving, organised Test Engineer with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to join us and form part of our passionate in-house R&D Test team

Reporting to the Head of R&D Test, you will be responsible for testing product software and target device applications.  Working from initial specifications you will develop and run test plans for customer acceptance, partner compliance, supporting software releases into production and the field.

But fundamentally your role is to be part of the UK team that ensures that our customers continue to receive the same uncompromised listening experiences that they have done for nearly 50 years; we seek to go beyond an audiophile sound that is technically brilliant and strive for the glorious emotional experience of the music.

Unlike most other consumer electronics, Naim Audio products are not designed to be replaced three or four years down the line, they are built for sustainability, as an investment to enable the customer to enjoy many years of incredible musical experience.

2 years test experience and knowledge of Linux operating systems would be desirable but not essential, it is more important you have an ability to identify issues, can accurately log and record defects and progress issues to closure.
