Here at Naim Audio there is an exciting opportunity for an Operations Finance Manager to join our Finance department delivering an effective and efficient service to our stakeholders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Principal responsibilities

The Operations Finance Manager’s role is to manage all aspects of cash availability within the business, and support and manage the AP and AR accountants to improve processes and efficiencies.

In summary you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Produce and improve cash forecasts for the business, monitoring performance against forecast and Group expectations.
  • Monitor & review working capital requirements, inventory, customer & supplier balances and recommend ways to improve these levels.
  • Monitor Exchange rates and recommend methods of reducing exchange exposure. 
  • Propose and lead activities concerning hedging, forward contracts and other financial instruments to ensure currency availability and efficiency of holdings.
  • Monitor reconciliation of all control accounts – Debtors / Creditors and Bank, and associated balance sheets within remit.
  • Work closely with commercial and operational management to ensure effective financial controls & risk mitigation in processes throughout the businesses that have a financial impact as well as timely resolution.
  • Manage the Group Intercompany reconciliation process concerning purchases and sales.
  • Ensure all receipts and payments are fully allocated, and statements of both suppliers and customers are reconciled regularly.
  • Reconciliation of goods received not invoiced accounts and ensuring that all documentation is up to date that supports these balances and that stocks remaining on this listing are current.
  • Preparation of VAT, and Intrastat returns.
  • Ensure timely payment of payroll, VAT, corporation tax.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Credit Controller including monitoring time and attendance

 

Skills & Requirements

Personal Attributes, Skills and experience

  • PQ/NQ/QBE
  • Experience of working for a brand would be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in cash relevant roles preferably within a manufacturing environment and having a proven record of demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and technical skills.
  • Practical experience of Payroll, Intrastat and VAT returns, hedging strategies
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Must be able to identify, prioritise and action improvements
  • Must have excellent Excel skills and be used to working with an ERP preferably EFACS, or Infor LN or an equivalent.
  • Must have experience and feel comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Result oriented and with strong business sense and able to communicate at all levels as well as challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • French language would be a unique advantage.
  • Passionate and eclectic music lover – desirable but not essential!
