Meet Naim’s brand new… car!

Naim and Bentley are two of the greatest-ever names in British engineering precision, and we’re back together on the world’s most demanding race circuits for 2018; this year, though, there’s a special challenge – a brand new car that needs taming to turn it into a sure-fire race-winner…

An entirely new car is quite a rarity for Bentley – they don’t come along very often – and the all-new Continental GT is brimming with new technology. This includes its sculptural bodysides, which are the first in the world to be made from super-formed aluminium in a single piece. Meanwhile, its astonishing 4-litre V8 power unit is specially prepared and tuned at Crewe, Cheshire to give 550bhp

The specially-developed racing derivative is the GT3, and there are two of these in the factory-run racing team that’s contesting the five rounds of the Blancpain GT endurance race series. Naim, of course, is one of the key sponsors, with our name and logo integral to the crisp, all-new livery, and our pioneering spirit of cutting-edge technology is fully in-tune with the tough task ahead.

“There’s clearly a lot of excitement surrounding the new car and it’s shown promise in testing. But we have to stay focused.”

Brian Gush, director of Motorsport, Bentley

The Bentley/Naim driver line-up includes five familiar faces and one newcomer as the team limbers up for the season-opening race on Sunday, 22 April at the legendary Monza track, Italy. Frenchman Jules Gounon joins Guy Smith and Steven Kane in the car entered in place number seven, while Maxime Soulet, Victor Abril and Andy Soucek share the GT3 entered at number eight. We can’t wait to catch the race itself, which will be screened live on the Blancpain GT Series website and on Facebook, as well as on various TV channels across Europe. For today’s ‘Bentley Boys’, a brand new chapter in Bentley’s century-long racing history is just about to open…
