Officially announced on 21st April 2014 as part of the Queen's birthday celebrations, the commendation marks our third Queen's Award, with two previous wins for International Trade in 1985 and 2010. This year, Her Majesty the Queen has approved the Prime Minister's recommendation to recognise our innovative design and engineering, exemplified in our award-winning range of network music players, all-in-one players, hard disk players/servers and digital to analogue converters.
Naim Audio will be presented with the Award by the Queen's local representative in a private ceremony held at our headquarters later this year.
Innovation to unleash your digital music
Significant and sustained investment in R&D over the last five years has fuelled the design and development of a completely new range of digital streaming products. The award recognises the determination and dedication of our 34-strong R&D department who have worked incredibly hard to combine the convenience and power of digital music streaming with true high-fidelity sound.
Managing Director, Paul Stephenson, commented: “We are extremely proud of our British design and engineering heritage and very pleased to be representing the ‘Best of British’ industry around the world. This is the third time in our history that the Queen’s Award has been conferred upon Naim Audi and it’s a real motivator. This award recognising our British innovation is truly a great achievement.”
He added as a personal note, “I would like to publicly thank all the Naim Audio employees who have worked so hard to deliver the innovative products that have enabled us to win this award which recognises our outstanding performance.”
