How do I reset my Uniti Star and Uniti Core to Factory Default Settings?

Resetting your Naim product to factory default settings can resolve persistent issues or prepare the device for a new setup. 

To reset a Uniti Core, firstly unplug any connected speakers and the power cable. When turning on the power to the Uniti Core, hold down the Standby button (for about 20 seconds) until the Naim logo and Front USB LED flashes multiple times. Then release the Standby button. 

To reset a Uniti Star, first unplug any connected speakers and the power cable, then press and hold the Play/Pause and Input buttons on the front panel while reconnecting the power; continue holding for five seconds, release the buttons, wait for the unit to complete the reset and enter standby mode, and finally press the power button to turn the product back on.

Alternatively, use the front screen to access the reset option under factory settings. 

This process will erase all user settings, including network configurations and library indexing, but will not delete music stored on internal or external drives. After the reset, you’ll need to reconfigure the device as if it were new.
