Internet radio with Naim: availability and setup Overview

Internet radio is available on all current Naim streaming products, including the Uniti range, Mu-so systems, and network players. It allows access to thousands of global stations via the Focal & Naim app. However, it is not available on the Uniti Core, which is a music server and does not include streaming capabilities.

Accessing Internet Radio

To browse and play internet radio stations:

1. Open the Focal & Naim app.
2. Select your device from the My Devices screen.
3. Tap on the Radio input.
4. Browse by location, genre, or search for a specific station. (Not available on Legacy Streamers)

The app uses a curated directory to provide access to a wide range of stations.

Setting and Managing Presets

You can save your favourite stations as presets for quick access:

• While listening to a station, expand to full screen and tap the star icon to add it to your presets.
• To manage presets, go to the Radio input and tap the Presets tab.
• Presets can be renamed, reordered, or deleted from this menu.

Presets are stored on the device and remain available even after app updates or restarts.

Improving Streaming Stability

If the internet radio stream drops out or buffers frequently:

• Ensure the device has a strong and stable network connection.
• If using Wi-Fi, try moving the device closer to the router or use a wired Ethernet connection.
• Avoid using mesh networks or extenders that may introduce latency or signal handoff issues.
• Restart your router and Naim device if problems persist.
