Placement and environment considerations

Proper placement of your Naim equipment is essential for optimal performance.

  • Always place your device on a stable, level surface—ideally a dedicated equipment rack like Naim’s Fraim or Fraim Lite.
  • Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.
  • Avoid stacking components directly on top of each other, as the electromagnetic fields from power supplies can interfere with audio circuitry.
  • Isolating units and minimising vibration transfer helps preserve audio fidelity and system longevity. Vibrations, whether microphonic or mechanical, can also affect sound quality, especially with CD playback.
