These methods allow playback from apps such as Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, and others.

Supported File Resolutions

Naim streaming products support a wide range of audio resolutions:

  • Up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM
  • Up to DSD128 (on supported models via UPnP)

File formats supported include WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, and OGG. Playback resolution may vary depending on the source and connection method.

Using a Naim Device with a TV

When connecting a TV via HDMI ARC or optical input, ensure the TV is outputting a stereo signal. Most TVs default to multichannel formats like Dolby Digital, which are not compatible.

To ensure proper audio playback:

Go to your TV’s Audio Output Settings.

Change the format to PCM or LPCM.

Avoid settings like “Auto” or “Dolby,” which may cause distortion, clicking sounds, or silence.

Naim devices are designed to decode two-channel stereo signals only.
