The Uniti Atom Headphone Edition (HE) is designed specifically for headphone use, offering a high-performance alternative to traditional hi-fi systems. Unlike standard amplifiers that include speaker outputs, the Atom HE focuses entirely on headphone listening, delivering precision, power, and musicality.

Its Class A/B discrete headphone amplifier, inspired by Naim’s flagship Statement amplifier, ensures dynamic and detailed sound reproduction. With up to 1.5W into 16 ohms, it can drive a wide range of headphones, including high-impedance and planar magnetic models.

Headphone Compatibility: Impedance and Volume

The Atom HE is compatible with headphones of various impedances. Whether you're using low-impedance in-ear monitors or high-impedance over-ear headphones, the amplifier adapts to deliver optimal performance.

Volume levels may vary depending on the headphone’s impedance. High-impedance models typically require more power, but the Atom HE’s robust amplification ensures consistent dynamics and clarity across all types.

Connecting Multiple Headphones

The Atom HE offers three headphone outputs:

• 6.3mm jack (unbalanced)
• 4.4mm Pentaconn (balanced)
• XLR 4-pin (balanced, rear panel)

While multiple headphones can be connected simultaneously, only one output is active at a time. The device automatically detects the active connection and disables the others to prevent signal conflicts. This feature allows users to switch between headphones easily without unplugging cables.

Headphone Button Function

The headphone button on the front panel allows users to toggle between headphone and speaker output modes. When headphones are connected, pressing the button activates the headphone output and mutes any other audio outputs. This ensures a seamless transition between private and shared listening.
